Historical and Contemporary Analysis of Climate Change and PM₁₀ Air Pollution in Plovdiv
The International Journal of Digital Research (IJDR) is pleased to announce the publication of a new research article by Krasimir Stoyanov, Galina Bezinska, and Ruslana Ivanova-Dobreva from the South-West University “Neofit Rilski,” Bulgaria.
This study provides an in-depth examination of the relationship between long-term climate trends (1976–2024) and PM₁₀ air pollution dynamics (2015–2024) in the city of Plovdiv. The authors highlight a significant warming trend of +1.5–2°C, increasing precipitation variability, and persistent air pollution challenges during winter months due to solid-fuel heating and temperature inversions.
